Personal use, as a Python desktop-interface exercise.
Solution
PySimpleGUI interfaces for creating a ZIP (zip_creator.py/zip.py) and extracting one (extractor.py/extratorfun.py), using Python's zipfile and pathlib modules.

Lessons learned
The code doesn't select a specific compression algorithm, so no size reduction is promised. The interfaces don't clearly discriminate which button was pressed or window close, and path/selection validation is missing. It's not a finished product or an end-user-ready download.
